Oil Paintings
Commissioned in oil — animals, landscapes, and portraits. Pricing depends on size.

I'm Debra — I've been making things with my hands since I was a child. At 55, I picked up oil paints, and I haven't stopped since. This is where my animals, my sweaters, and my memorial bears live.

I've been doing all kinds of crafts since I was a child — macrame, crocheting, knitting. Things that ask you to slow down and listen with your hands.
When I turned 55, I signed up for drawing and color theory classes. One painting lesson later, I fell in love with oils, and I haven't put the brush down since. I paint every single day.
Recently, I enrolled in a master's class in art. The work keeps growing, and so do I.
Each canvas begins with a long look — a horse's quiet eye, the stillness of a barn cat, the weight of a buffalo. Painted in oil, taken slowly.

From oil portraits to one-of-a-kind sweaters and memorial bears sewn from a loved one's clothing — each commission is a quiet collaboration.

A handmade bear sewn from a loved one's clothes — a soft, lasting place for memory to live.
Wearable, one-of-one pieces. Painted, stitched, and finished by hand in the studio.
Hand-knit sweaters in the colors and stitches you love most. Made to last decades.
Memorial bears are the most tender work I make. Send me the clothing you can't bear to give away, and I'll turn it into something soft to hold — a heirloom your family can keep close.
Start a commissionThe studio is a working room — paint on the floorboards, baskets of wool, half-finished sweaters draped over chairs. Everything you see here was made there, slowly, by one pair of hands.

Whether you've got a photo of a beloved animal, a bag of clothing for a memorial bear, or you'd just like to say hello — I'd love to hear from you.
Send a photo, an idea, or a memory. We'll figure out the rest together.
